Exterity MPEG Encoders

Exterity offer a range of MPEG-2 and MPEG-4 encoder products that will deliver TV and video around building and campus networks. These products represent the digital equivalent of the traditional co-axial aerial system, but offer greater flexibility, scalability and control, and so offer the opportunity for new services and content.

idaptor AV encoder

The stand-alone and portable idaptor AV encoder presents a simple SCART socket into which AV sources are plugged. Once connected, all video output from the AV source is converted into a high-quality MPEG-2 digital media stream. Streams generated by idaptor AV encoders can be viewed using an IPTV receiver, such as the Exterity isocket IPTV receiver, or a networked PC using a streaming video client application such as Exterity avediaCentre.

idaptor PRO encoder

The stand-alone and portable idaptor PRO encoder accepts AV inputs through a BNC video socket and twin jack audio sockets. Once connected all video output from the AV source can be converted into either MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 formats and also supports unbalanced and balanced stereo audio. Streams generated by idaptor PRO encoders can be viewed using an IPTV receiver, such as the Exterity isocket IPTV receiver, or a networked PC using a streaming video client application such as Exterity avediaCentre.

idaptor SDI encoder

The stand-alone and portable idaptor SDI encoder accepts AV inputs through a BNC connector and audio inputs through an XLR connector. Once connected the idaptor SDI encoder distributes broadcast quality output via a Serial Digital Interface in either MPEG-2 or MPEG-4 formats. Streams generated by idaptor SDI encoders can be viewed using an IPTV receiver, such as the Exterity isocket IPTV receiver, or a networked PC using a streaming video client application such as Exterity avediaCentre.

Tridaptor encoder

The rack-mountable tridaptor encoder supports up to three simultaneous encodes in a single one u high chassis. The inputs can be any mix of the three encoders described above. Once connected all video and audio output from the AV source is converted into various formats depending on the modules in the chassis. Streams generated by tridaptor encoders can be viewed using an IPTV receiver, such as the Exterity isocket IPTV receiver, or a networked PC using a streaming video client application such as Exterity avediaCentre.
