DVB to IP Gateways

Exterity have a range of products (DVB-IP gateways) that will deliver TV and video around buildings. These products represent the digital equivalent of the traditional co-axial aerial system, but offer greater flexibility, scalability and control, and so offer the opportunity to deliver new services and content.

idaptor TVgateway DVB-S/T

The idaptor TVgateway captures broadcast television from digital satellite or terrestrial sources and distributes these over a building or campus network. In a small portable unit the idaptor TVgateway can deliver channels from 2 DVB transponder multiplexes. The idaptor TVgateway can deliver channels from 2 DVB transponder multiplexes. The idaptor TVgateway is available in 2 x DVB-T or 2 x DVB-S configurations.

The idaptor TVgateway with CAM captures broadcast television from digital satellite and terrestrial sources and distributes these over a building or campus network. The CAM module extends the functionality to allow the de-scrambling of encrypted channels providing the user has the appropriate card from the broadcaster. The idaptor TVgateway with CAM can deliver channels from 1 DVB transponder which can be either DVB-T or DVB-S.

idaptor ASI Gateway

The idaptor ASI Gateway captures video input from broadcast quality head-end equipment via an Asynchronous Serial Interface and distributes these over a building or campus network.

tridaptor TVgateway

The rack-mountable tridaptor TVgateway supports up to six DVB transponder multiplexes in a single one u high chassis. The inputs can be any mix of the three TVgateways described above. Streams generated by a tridaptor TVgateway can be viewed using an IPTV receiver, such as the Exterity isocket IPTV receiver, or a networked PC using a streaming video client application such as Exterity avediaCentre.
